DueNorth uses high-performance, user interface-independent, data model-independent meta-searching middleware featuring merging, relevance ranking, record sorting, and faceted results. It searches all the online catalogs in the Northern New York region in parallel and creates an internal, merged result set on the fly. This means that results are always up to date.
With the SUNY libraries having recently changed catalog systems, there are a few bugs that are currently being ironed out. In your search results, you may see a lot of e-books being returned at the top of results and physical books returned much later (meaning the server is responding much slower for those items). Using the advanced search and limiters while searching may help alleviate some of the problems concerning this issue.
